Image to ASCII Converter in JavaScript

Today I am adding an Image to ASCII converter to my portfolio theme. This tool will turn my images into ASCII art, which will fit perfectly with my terminal-themed portfolio.

I found a couple javascript libraries, one was only available via npm, which I didn’t want to have to add to my hugo site. The other library created a canvas element to print the image to, but I want it to be pure html text. So I made my own simple implementation.

Annnnnd here it is!

Loading image as ASCII...

Pretty nifty!

Discord Bot

I also worked on my discord bot today. It’s ready for testing. I will be deploying it to the server tommorw for extensive testing as well as UI tweaks and adustments. It should be fun!

Battle Glide Update

We are very excited that the new Battle Glide update releases tomrrow. The kids are even taking time off of school to play it. I can’t wait to see all the features and content they added. It looks like a lot of fun!

That’s all for today! See you tomorrow!
